TROIKA 8 ( 2ND. 'small art' INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION )
DRAGON HALL, KING ST. NORWICH , UK. (11TH. - 13TH. DEC. 2009)
(DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF SUBMISSIONS...30TH. NOVEMBER 2009)
After the success of our first 'small art' exhibition in the beautiful Grade 1 listed building of Dragon Hall, Norwich, UK, in May of this year, we have decided to hold a second for a long week-end and with much more space for each exhibit. (Last time, we were caught out by the volume of submissions, and so this time we have given the whole exhibiting space at Dragon Hall over to just 'small art', with a limit on number of submissions per artist.
Conditions of entry are as follows:
The exhibition is free and open to all. Each contributor may enter a maximum of 4 works.
This will be a 'no frills' exhibition where unframed unmounted works will be clipped to a
display board.
We are asking contributors to send us works no larger than postcard size 6" X 4" (15 x 10 cm).
All media accepted (painting, drawings, photos, collages or anything else within a 2 dimensional
range.
The pieces will be attached to the display boards on mini-bulldog clips to prevent any pin or
tape damage.
We ask contributors to remain anonymous until their piece is sold by clearly PRINTING their
name and email address ON THE REVERSE side of each of their works, along with date,
signature and any other information they may wish the buyer to have i.e. web site, email, etc..
All works will be on sale for a fixed price of £11 ( £10 to the artist and £1 towards upkeep of Dragon Hall which
is a registered charity).
All entries must include a stamped addressed envelope with enough postage to return work
and any payments due, which are just to cover the artists expenses for materials and postage.
We stress that we are a non-profit making organisation of volunteer artists working for the
benefit of other artists and art lovers. TROIKA cannot be held responsible for damage or loss,
and so if required, we request that contributors make their own insurance arrangements.
However, we shall endeavour to avoid any such problems. We ask contributors to enter into the
spirit of this exhibition, which is designed to show the public the diversity of contemporary artists,
and also to give the artists an opportunity to step outside of their usual boxes.
We also ask previous exhibitors to enter only new works, so that we can retain a fresh look
to each exhibition.
By taking part in the exhibition, it will be assumed that all contributing artists will be agreeable to TROIKA
using their images for media and publicity purposes.
